- Beard care: Softens beard hair and conditions the skin underneath.
How the oil-to-milk emulsion works
LEON uses a plant-derived emulsifier (polyglyceryl-4 oleate) that brings oil and water together elegantly:
Phase 1: Oil dissolves dirt (apply to dry skin)
LEON goes onto dry skin first as a rich oil. Because "like dissolves like", the oil bonds to the oil-based residues sitting on your skin - stubborn make-up, SPF, excess sebum and the day's dust.
Phase 2: Emulsification (add water)
Add a few drops of water and start massaging. The emulsifier kicks in.
It has a water-loving end and an oil-loving end, and it wraps the tiny oil droplets so they spread evenly through the water. Visually, the clear oil turns into a light, white cleansing milk.
Phase 3: Rinses clean - no residue
Because of that emulsion, the whole mix (oil plus dissolved dirt) rinses cleanly off with water.
No greasy film like you get with pure oils.Just clean, cared-for skin.

The "Glow & Clean" routine with LEON
A four-step guide to get the most out of the oil-to-milk emulsion:
Step 1
Prep & apply (dry phase): Pump one or two presses into dry hands. Apply with dry hands onto a dry face. This matters: the plant oils need that first stage to bind to oil-soluble grime like sebum and make-up.
Step 2
Massage (the cleanse): Massage in circular motions for 30–60 seconds. Spend a little extra time on stubborn make-up or congested zones (the T-zone). Let yourself enjoy the calming scent of lavender and rosemary while you’re at it.
Step 3
Add water (the transformation): Wet your hands with lukewarm water and massage your face again. The moment water meets the balm, the golden texture turns into a light, white milk. That’s where the dirt finally lifts away from the skin.
Step 4
- Rinse Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water – or wipe away with a damp cloth. Because the emulsifier has made the oil water-soluble, everything rinses clean. Your skin feels clean, but already conditioned by the jojoba oil.
Three variants of LEON
Fourth Era LEON is a perfect match if…
- You have a sensitive barrier and want a cleanse that's thorough without stripping or stinging.
- You travel and want one tin instead of five - cleanse, treat, mask, all in one.
- You love the "lit-from-within" finish and want a routine that leaves skin plump and nourished, not flat.
- You have dry patches (think elbows, shins) and need a rich balm for spot-treatment.
- You want a small evening ritual — the emulsifying massage is a calm way to close the day.
- You care about organic ingredients and want skincare with no synthetic fragrance, mineral oils or microplastic.

Common questions about Fourth Era Leon
What is Fourth Era LEON?
A patent-pending oil-to-milk cleansing oil that starts as a pure oil and emulsifies into a fine milk on contact with water. It lifts make-up, dirt and sebum effectively without any aggressive surfactants.
How does the oil-to-milk principle work in LEON?
LEON contains polyglyceryl-4 oleate, a plant-based emulsifier. When water is introduced, it bonds with the oil and creates a fine emulsion that lifts dirt and make-up more efficiently than a classic cleansing oil.
What three variants does LEON come in?
Blue Tansy (for irritated, breakout-prone skin), Rosemary (for tired, dull skin) and Sensitive (no added essential oils, for reactive skin). All three share the same nourishing oil base.
Does LEON remove waterproof make-up?
Yes, oil dissolves oil-based cosmetics reliably. Massage onto dry skin, emulsify with water, rinse.
Is LEON suitable for every skin type?
Yes, across the three variants, LEON covers every skin type: Blue Tansy for breakout-prone skin, Rosemary for normal-to-oily, Sensitive for reactive. None of them contain aggressive surfactants.
What is polyglyceryl-4 oleate?
A plant-derived emulsifier - the reason LEON turns from oil to milk on contact with water. It fully replaces synthetic surfactants.
